My work is dominated by reflections on the passage of time, the inevitability of change, beauty and ugliness, a sense of security, meaning, and the search for personal balance. I enjoy observing decay, with a researcher’s curiosity, I seek out the hidden beauty and meaning in the fact of transience.

AGATA CZEREMUSZKIN-CHRUT

Painter and creator of spatial installations, a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław and postgraduate studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, and holds a PhD in Fine Arts from the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź. Recipient of grants from, amongst others, the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, and a resident at the Edinburgh College of Art. She creates easel paintings, murals and polychromatic forms that extend beyond the picture plane. Her work has evolved from inspiration drawn from the body towards biomorphic abstraction. She has held numerous exhibitions, and her works are held in private collections and at the Mark Rothko Centre in Daugavpils.
